EPF WITHDRAWAL
EPF withdrawal refers to the process of withdrawing money from one's Employee Provident
Fund (EPF) account.
EPF is a government-mandated retirement savings scheme for employees in India.
EPF withdrawal can be made for various reasons, such as retirement, resignation, disability,
or financial emergencies like medical emergencies, marriage, education, or home purchase.
The amount that can be withdrawn depends on the reason for withdrawal and the amount
accumulated in the EPF account.
ESIC
Employees State Insurance Scheme is operated by Employees State Insurance Corporation which is a health insurance and social security scheme.Any Factory/Establishment/Firm where manufacturing process is carried on and which employs more than 10 persons will come under the coverage of ESI Act and must register with the ESI. Under Sec 1(5) of the Act, the Scheme has been extended to the shops, Hotels, Restaurants, Cinemas including cinema theatres, road motor transport undertakings, newspaper establishments, private medical and educational institutions etc. Thus, in effect, permanent employees, temporary employees in the formal sector and employees in unorganized sector are covered. There must exist an employer-employee relationship by which the employer deducts 0.75% amount from the wages of the employee adds another 3.25% of the employees’ wages and is expected to make the payment to the ESIC. Hence, self-employed persons such as those who run auto-rickshaws, street vendors, etc., will not be covered under the Act. The existing wage limit for coverage under the Act is Rs. 21,000/- per month (with effect from 01.01.2017)

Contribution Period
There are two contribution periods each of six months duration.
● 1st April to 30th September
● 1st October to 31st March
Documents required for taking ESI Registration
● PAN card of the business.
● Address proof of business.
● The license obtained under Shop and Establishment Act or Factories Act.
● Basic documents required as per the nature of entity – Articles of
Association, Memorandum in case of a company, partnership deed in case
of a partnership and Limited Liability Partnership.
● Details of all directors, partners, and shareholders.
● Details of all employees along with their salary information.
● Bank details.
GST REGISTRATION
Monthly Filing
Amount deducted from employee’s wages as an employee contribution is deemed to have been entrusted to the employer. Therefore the employer has a higher responsibility to deposit the contribution with ESI. Non-payment or delayed payment of the Employee’s contribution deducted from the wages of the employee amounts to ‘Criminal Breach of trust’ is punishable under IPC Section(s) 406, 409 and also an offence u/s 85 (b – g) of ESI Act. Non-payments, delayed payments, or falsifying payments under ESI Act may attract imprisonment for a period extending up to 2 years and fine up to Rs 5,000.
